Thank you first off for taking time to check out my work and my passion. My name is Samantha Lopez and I have been a professional photographer since 2013. I always had a camera in my hand though since the beginning of my time. Kind of funny how it worked out for me in the end having gone to college to become a Graphic Designer and found my way into photography on a assignment. Since then I haven’t put the camera down and it’s been the best adventure filled with new people, new experiences, new cultures, cities, states and hopefully countries will be added to the list soon. I have a absolute passion for capturing the raw moments life is simply filled with. While I enjoy helping create ideas and images my biggest fulfillment as a artist is trying to collect moments we don’t look for but are the core of who we are and our happiness. Candids bring such a beauty to the table we often forget about.
I work out of Redlands, CA and Los Angeles, CA., but traveling outside of those two locations is something I am very open to. I’ve photographed most weddings within in southern California region and a few other locations like Sacramento, CA., and Chevy Chase, MD. I mostly shoot weddings and family portraits along with maternity and products. I also work part time shooting lifestyle for companies to post on social media and websites. I am not only limited to these styles of shoots though and look forward for whats to come in the future. I have had work featured in BABYKINS Magazine, BLACKMAGE and Southern California Bride.
A little about me on a more personal level I work from home while raising my three beautiful children who are growing like weeds. I have them to thank more than anyone for showing me just how much I desire to keep those special moments forever. I have hundreds of photos in boxes I have yet to put into photo albums because I just don’t know where to begin. But I have them and I know one day these images will become theirs when I am no longer here. The importance and value of a photograph goes beyond money. Its something money can not buy back once the moment has passed and that is what I love most about my career as a photographer. I am able to help people keep moments for a lifetime. I really enjoy going downtown and just capturing what the world is up to or not up to. I enjoy capturing nature as well because its just endlessly breath taking. I guess I love it all and I’m always on the hunt for the next subject to be captured.
